Scanning (film, photos, slides)

We offer scanning of:

photos (up to 8.5″x11″) (one-sided and two-sided)
35mm films (35mm color and black&white, but not E-6)
35mm slides (color and black&white)
Instax and Polaroid photos

We don’t scan:

books
blueprints
documents
artwork
photos that can’t be detached from their frames
anything larger than 8.5″x11″

Price and turnaround time depends on the quantity of materials, urgency of work and quality (resolution) of the scanning.

The digital copies we will send you by email/WeTransfer.

If colors on the photos are not natural, we are able to do color correction and adjustment of white balance to make them look close to natural.

Scanning photos that require taking them out of photo album takes 3x-5x more time, then scanning loose photos.

CD & DVD copying (duplication) service

CD and DVD duplication service in Brooklyn NY NYC

Photoreal is a place in Brooklyn NY which makes copies of CDs and DVDs (unless they are copy-protected).

We are able to make a copy of:

data CD / DVD
photo CD / DVD
MP3 CD / DVD
AudioCD / AudioDVD
VideoCD / VideoDVD

We are NOT able to make a copy of the CD/DVD which:

is copy-protected
has too many scratches

We don’t restore CDs/DVDs.

Price is the following:

Copy CD to CD	$5 + tax per CD	10 mins or less per CD
Copy DVD to DVD	$8 + tax per DVD	20 mins or less per DVD

You’ll get copies in a paper sleeve bundled together with original CD/DVD by a rubber band.

Converting video & audio cassette tapes and films into digital format (DVD/USB, MP4/MP3)

At Photoreal we offer conversion (digitalization) of popular video and audio cassette tapes and films on a reel into digital format: DVD disk or AudioCD or USB flash drive (in MP4/MOV/AVI/WMV or MP3/OGG format). Majority of the tapes are converted on our premises in Brooklyn, NY. Only films on the reel are outsourced to another company in NYC.

Please be advised, that:

if the tape is older than 25 years or if it has been stored in other than “cool and dry place” for a long time, than the quality of the audio and video on your tape / film will be bad in majority of the cases and it will be bad after we convert it to digital format;
we are not able to improve the quality of the audio and video, we convert “as is”.

We only convert audio and video cassette tapes and films on a reel from analog to digital format.

Tape and cassette digitizing (conversion to digital): VHS, VHS-c, VHS-compact, Hi8, Video8, miniDV, Super 8, Standard 8 film on a reel convert (digitize) to a DVD disk, USB stick or USB thumb drive, hard disk drive (HDD)

Fax services

Photoreal is the place with fax machine in Brooklyn NY where you can send and receive fax.

For receiving fax our machine is always on, you can pick up the received fax during store hours.

Sending documents and other papers up to 8.5″x11″ by fax is available only during store hours.

Local fax (within United States) is $1 per page,

International fax is $5 for the 1st page and $3 for all other pages.

If you have 20 or more pages, we’ll give you a discount.

You will not be charged unless your fax goes through.

Digital photos printing

We print photos from phones, tablets, emails, Google drive / Dropbox / Google Photos links, WeTransfer links, WeSendIt links.

Prints are ready next business day in the morning.
Same day printing is not available! Sorry about that!

We use Fuji archival photo paper with matte and glossy finish. It is thick, durable and after printing colors stay for decades.

What you can print

You can print these types of files: JPG, PNG, BMP, TIFF and HEIC.

Maximum print size: 8″x12″.

We don’t print photos with white borders.

We also don’t print photos from weddings, because they are usually altered by photogrgapher and don’t come out good from our printer.

Passport, visa and ID photos for any country

passport and visa photos for any country in Brooklyn NY - Photoreal From 8AM until 3PM we take photos for passport, visa, driver’s license and other kinds of IDs for all countries (US, Canada, UK, Schengen zone, Russia, China, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and others) of people of all ages (newborn, infant, child, teenager, adult, senior).

We are also able to send you a digital copy of the photo by email or save it to your USB drive or memory card. Price for digital photo is specified below.

We are able to take a photo even if you are on a wheelchair.

We don’t take passport photos for Canada for children less than 2 years old.

We also take photos for these kinds of ID:

driver’s license (including international driver’s license)
student / teacher ID for school
and others (you name it)

We don’t print passport and visa photos from email, because 99% of the time they don’t meet requirements. We encourage you to take photos at our place. It will take less than 10 minutes and will meet all the requirements.

We make custom photo slideshows with music on a DVD within 5-7 business days. Price depends on the number of photos and their condition (already digital or need to be scanned) and the number of music tracks that you want to use for slideshow. Rush orders can be done in 3 days for 20% extra.
